Paul L. Stine, Jr. Memorial Fund

Founded by sister Alice Jean Stine for grants to assist persons with mental health conditions.

Paul L. Stine, Jr. was born on October 20, 1938, the son of Paul and Julia Stine. Growing up in Knoxville, he worked with his family in farming. He was a lifelong member of the Petersville Lutheran Chapel and enjoyed collecting horse-related items, miniature school buses, bells, key chains, and letter openers. Alice Jean Stine, who created The Paul L. Stine, Jr. Memorial Fund to honor her brother’s memory, shares that Paul, though mentally challenged, “was a man of great strength who survived a difficult birth and lived a good and productive life with his parents and sister who cared for and about him.” The fund distributes grants to nonprofit groups that serve persons with disabilities who are mentally challenged.
