Georgia Marie Abdow Fund

Founded by Mark and Michele Abdow in memory of their daughter as a donor advised fund, with preference given to organizations providing services to individuals and their families experiencing substance use disorder.

Georgia was a 2020 graduate of American University, where she studied public relations and marketing, with a focus on social media content for the entertainment industry. The loss of their daughter led the Abdows to create this fund, with the hope it can help others combat the negative effects that substance use disorder has on families and their children.

The Advocates for Homeless Families Legacy Fund was created with the purpose of empowering motivated families to overcome homelessness.

This fund will impact families through a structured two-year program of education, housing, and support services. Advocates for Homeless Families, Inc. has been impacting Frederick County families since 1988 and the fund will continue this support for many years to come.
