Founded by parents Brian and Robin Hayek to create and maintain a recreation baseball field and to provide baseball/softball equipment for youth.
“I often dream of being in the big diamond! And wishing for a ball to come my way. I think of being a star! And, when I dream I want to dive and catch the ball, I feel like I am weightless. I often dream of being in the big diamond!”—A heartfelt and moving poem by 10-year-old Jeffrey Hayek, whose passion for all things baseball was cut short when he passed away from blood clotting complications. Established by Jeff’s parents, Brian and Robin Hayek, The Jeffrey Hayek Memorial Fund benefits the creation and maintenance of a recreation league in New Market. Jeff’s memory, and his love for baseball will live on through the creation of “Jeffy’s Field” through The Jeffrey Hayek Memorial Fund.
