Frederick County is home to more than 500 active nonprofits. The Frederick County Nonprofit Economic Impact Study conducted in 2018 shows that 501c3s are economic generators in our community with direct and measurable impacts that also provide vitally important services to our residents and way of life.
Part of what makes Frederick County unique is that its home to a mix of charming small towns and Main Streets, rural farmlands, and bustling city centers. That level of diversity serves citizens well, but it also means there are different needs to be met in different parts of the county. The Community Foundation supports funds that focus on needs in all corners of Frederick County, including the thriving town of Brunswick.

Mr. Green passed away in 2018 and made provisions through his estate to continue supporting Frederick County artists for many years to come.

If you’ve taken a moment to look up while strolling around in downtown Frederick, you’ve likely seen some of the 70 flowering baskets that beautify the historic landscape.

Hopefully fathers across Frederick are feeling the love. Over the years, donors have turned to the Community Foundation to help create lasting memorials to their fathers.
