FREDERICK, MD – October 9, 2019: Caring about the health and well-being of Frederick County residents now and in the future is the result of Catherine Clark’s planned gift to The Community Foundation of Frederick County. Through her estate, The Lewis I. and Catherine L. Clark Memorial Fund has been established, becoming one of more than 720 funds under management. The fund will provide grants in support of programs that help individuals with cardiac, cancer, and diabetes health issues in Frederick County.
FREDERICK, MD – October 9, 2019: With foresight and vision, John C. Summers’ planned gift has created two funds that will help many people in the years to come. The John C. Summers Fund and The Myersville Lions Club Scholarship Fund become two of more than 720 component funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
FREDERICK, MD – October 8, 2019: The Frederick County Agri-Business Association (FCAB), in a final act before its official closing, contributed $5,000 to The Maryland Master Farmers Scholarship Fund, one of more than 720 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.

These donors financially support the Community Foundation’s strategic grantmaking areas of supporting families with children, responding to substance use disorder, preparing for an aging population, access to health care, services for the homeless and precariously housed, and school-readiness for children.
