FREDERICK, MD – July 13, 2017: The Carolyn D. McGolerick Scholarship Fund has been established through Mrs. McGolerick’s
estate, and becomes one of more than 679 funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The fund will provide post-secondary scholarships to students studying library science. After working for the Department of the Navy, Mrs. McGolerick’s long career as a librarian included Ft. Detrick’s technical library where she worked for 20 years, followed by positions in Emmitsburg and St. John’s Schools.
