John and Lucille Ponton cared deeply about their community, and through two funds with The Community Foundation of Frederick County, their legacy will live on forever.

The rock pop band “Oversoon” plays at venues across the region. Comprised of three brothers, the trio says that financial support from a Community Foundation fund gave them them access to music lessons as children, making their success today possible.

Joel Stephens’ courage, spirit, honesty, and integrity have made a lasting impression on the Frederick Keys organization and those who knew him. While his life ended too soon, the fund that honors his memory will have a positive impact on the lives of youth and young adults in Frederick County for generations to come.
