FREDERICK, MD – August 9, 2017: Agriculture runs deep in the Lucey family, thus, Barry Lucey’s desire to honor his late wife Kathleen and create a scholarship fund supporting post-secondary agricultural studies has been brought to fruition with The Barry and Kathleen Lucey Fund. Mr. Lucey, his father Charles, and his daughter comprise three generations of farming in Thurmont, Maryland. The fund becomes one of more than 679 funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County. Scholarships will give preference to graduates of Catoctin High School studying agriculture at an educational institution in Maryland. Pictured: Kathleen and Barry Lucey.
