New Fund Ensures Rescue Mission’s Work Continues

Smiling woman and manFREDERICK, MD – July 23, 2025: Jeanie Keller Reeder established The Jeanie Keller Reeder Family Rescue Fund to support the Frederick Rescue Mission, Inc. This becomes one of more than 818 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.

Inspired by the transformational work done at the Rescue Mission, Reeder said she felt compelled to establish a fund to support the organization’s work today and in the future. The Rescue Mission provides essential services to individuals and families across Frederick County and surrounding communities through a range of programs, including meal assistance, residential recovery services, and the distribution of clothing and personal care items.

“Helping more people who may need it, now and well into the future, is important to my family and me,” said Reeder.

Through the creation of this fund, Reeder is helping to ensure that the Rescue Mission has the resources necessary to continue serving the community for years to come.

As a leader in grant and scholarship funding, The Community Foundation of Frederick County has infused more than $102 million into the community since 1986. To learn more about how the Community Foundation impacts Frederick County, visit www.FrederickCountyGives.org.
