Community Foundation Announces New Chair, Welcomes Five New Trustees

FREDERICK, MD – Nov. 15, 2024:  The Community Foundation of Frederick County welcomes a new chair of its board of trustees, Detric Kemp, and five new trustees: Brandon Cannon, Brandon Chapman, Deepak Kini, William Randall and Justin Saltzman.

Detric L. Kemp, Esq. is a partner at Conklyn & Kemp Law Firm. He has served on the Community Foundation board of trustees since 2020 and has been an active participant on the Grants Committee and the Trusts and Estates Committee. Mr. Kemp has also served as a board member of the Weinberg Center for the Arts and served as chair for the Young Lawyer Section of the Bar Association of Frederick County.

Brandon Cannon is the founder and President of Revo Development. Mr. Cannon serves as a board member for Federated Charities and is the former president of the Chamber of Commerce’s Generation Connect Committee for young professionals. He has volunteered for the Community Foundation’s Scholarship Leadership Committee.

Brandon Chapman is the co-owner and producer at 88Visual, an award-winning videography company. Mr. Chapman also founded and co-owns More Than a Father and has overseen programs for various organizations including the Police Activities League (PAL) and the Housing Authority of Frederick.

Deepak Kini owns several businesses including New Smiles Kids Dentistry and Guild Support, LLC. A pharmacist by trade, Mr. Kini served as secretary of the Independent Pharmacies of Maryland for five years. He has served on the Community Foundation’s Scholarship Review Committee and volunteers at Chinmaya Spiritual Center and Temple.

William Randall is the President of Randall CAP and co-owner of Camp Bow Wow Frederick. He is a member of Key City Rotary and has served on the board of trustees of the Frederick Arts Council. He is the third generation of the Randall family to serve on the Community Foundation Board of Trustees.

Justin Saltzman is the Business Development Manager and Sales Associate at VCRE.CO. He is a member of Key City Rotary and served as an ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce’s young professional group Generation Connect. Mr. Saltzman serves on the Community Foundation’s Engagement Committee and is an ambassador for the Mental Health Association.
